The Maternity and Early Childhood Foundation is pleased to present the Pathways to Positive Parenting Training Seminar on Thursday, December 6, 2018. We encourage parent educators, social workers, mental health and other professionals serving young parents to attend.
Our keynote speaker, Dr. Ira Chasnoff, is an award-winning author and researcher, and Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the University of Illinois. He will be discussing the long-term impacts of prenatal exposure to marijuana and opiate use on the growing child. Following Dr. Chasnoff's three-hour lecture, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in one of two workshops in the afternoon. Please see agenda for details.
Social workers and licensed mental health counselors can receive 3 hours of Continuing Education credit (CEUs) for this training through SUNY University at Albany School of Social Welfare. The cost of the CEUs is included in the registration fee. Attendees who would like to receive CEUs can sign up at the event.
We look forward to a full day of engaging lectures and workshops led by experts in their fields. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Please join us!
